WavePad supports Audio Unit (AU) plugins. In WavePad you can use AU plugins to add effects to your audio file. Other AU plugins may provide some type of visual feedback of the audio signal.
To add an AU effect to your file, choose the Audio Unit button under the Effects toolbar or the Effects – AU Plugins… item in the menu. In the Effect combobox of the open Audio Unit Plugins dialog you will see any valid AU plugins you have installed. Even if you have not installed any other AU plugins, Apple supplied AU plugins will be listed here.
To apply an AU plugin effect, select the AU plugin, adjust its parameters if you wish and then click the Apply Effect button. You can use the Save Preset and Load Preset features to apply effects with set parameters. To compare the effect of an AU plugin, check the Bypass Plugin flag in the bottom corner of the dialog.
