Send Options

There are three ways to send a file. Namely via: FTP, Email, or iTunes

FTP

Send recording directly to an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server. Note that you must have your own directory on this server. You do not need to host your own server - almost all ISP web hosting services offer FTP access which is suitable and very affordable, and the server can be located anywhere in the world. NCH Software provides a list of recommended FTP hosting services here.

Server

Provide the FTP server address, e.g. ftp.nchsoftware.com

Username

Provide the username to use when logging into the FTP server.

Password

Provide the password to use when logging into the FTP server.

Directory

Set the directory on the FTP server to upload to.

Test FTP Settings

Press this button to test the FTP settings you entered above.

Email

By default WavePad uses the native Mail window. To fully utilize this, you must first setup iOS' Mail app. The email address integrated there will be used to send the file.

To address

Provide the email address to send to.

Split recording

Splits the recording into chunks when attached to the email.

Use standard composer

When switched on, uses the native Mail window. Else, you can manually enter your email settings. Here you can set the custom server to use, and the credentials for authentication.

iTunes

• Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
• In iTunes, select your device (below Devices), and click the Apps button.
• Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select "WavePad" application on your device that you want to transfer a file from.
• From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click "Save to."
• In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Choose.

Also, with a similar way you can import files to your iPod touch, iPhone or iPad

Compression

Compress recording

When switched on, compresses the recording file before it is sent. You can specify the format to use when compressing it via the Edit button.

Confirmation

Ask for send method

When switched on, you'll be asked for a send method (FTP, Email, or Save As) when tapping on Home -> Export. Otherwise, it will proceed to share your file similar to using Save -> Share File.
