Create a New Audio File

To create a new file select Home->New. Alternatively, you can select Home->File->New Recording.

Open an Existing Audio File

To open an existing file select Home -> Open -> Open File, and browse to locate the file you want to open. Alternatively, you can do this by selecting Home -> File -> Open file on device.

This utilizes the native iOS browser, and works similar to Files app. With this, you can also browse and select iCloud files.

Save an Audio File

To save the current audio file with the current name select Home->Save-> Save File. Altenatively, you can select File->Save.

To save the file with a different name or in a different format use the menu File -> Save As.

Note: When working with audio files, you should not save the file in a compressed format until you have finished all editing because every time you save and reload in a compressed format you lose some quality. Save as a PCM wav file to preserve quality.

Send an Audio File

WavePad allows you to send the file by either email or direct internet connection. You can select how to send a file by using the menu File->Send. Alternatively, you can open this menu at Home->Export.

Email

If you select this option, WavePad will send the file as an attachment to an email.

Enter the email address of the recipient in the Email Address box.

Email - Settings

By default WavePad uses the native Mail window. To fully utilize this, you must first setup iOS' Mail app. The email address integrated there will be used to send the file.

Alternatively, you can manually enter your email settings via Tools->Settings->Send and selecting the Email tab. Here you can set the custom server to use, and the credentials for authentication.

FTP

Send recording directly to an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server. Note that you must have your own directory on this server. You do not need to host your own server - almost all ISP web hosting services offer FTP access which is suitable and very affordable, and the server can be located anywhere in the world. iTunes

• Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
• In iTunes, select your device (below Devices), and click the Apps button.
• Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select "WavePad" application on your device that you want to transfer a file from.
• From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click "Save to."
• In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Choose.
