Data Sources


RadarScope can display data from a single primary data source, overlaid with data from various supplemental feeds. Single-site radar data is the most common primary data soure, but Pro Tier Two and AllisonHouse subscribers can also display data from Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor composites and GOES satellites. Pro Tier Two subscribers can also display atmospheric sounding data.


Click the radar ID (or data source name) at the top of the window to show a list of available data sources. Click the Favorites button next to the data source name for a menu of favorite data sources for quick selection.


Radars


Click Radars to view a list of all available radars that can be displayed in the app. The radar list is divided into geographic sections. A green dot next to a radar name indicates the radar has recently provided new data. A red dot indicates that the radar hasn't reported in a while and may be offline.


Click a radar name to select and reveal the radar on the map. Click the disclosure button for a radar to view a map thumbnail and the latest status message from the radar operator. In the detail view, click the favorites icon to add the radar to your favorites list.


Composites


Click Composites to view a list of all available composite data sources can be displayed in the app. RadarScope Pro Tier Two and AllisonHouse subscribers have access to NSSL's Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor products.


Satellites


Click Satellites to view a list of all available satellite that can be displayed in the app. RadarScope Pro Tier Two and AllisonHouse subscribers have access to GOES East and GOES West satellites./p>


Soundings


Click Soundings to view a list of all available atmospheric soundings that can be displayed in the app. RadarScope Pro Tier Two customers have access to sounding data collected by the U.S. National Weather Service.


Favorites


Click Favorites to view your list of favorite radars. When viewing the list, click Add Favorite to add a new radar to the list. Click the radar name to select and reveal the radar on the map. When viewing the list, right-click or swipe right to delete a radar from the list. You can reorder items in the list by clicking and dragging them.


Click the disclosure button for a radar to show a map thumbnail and the latest status message from the radar operator. In the detail view, click the favorites icon to remove or re-add the radar from your favorites.
