WNISAT 1 (Weather News Inc. Satellite 1) is a commercial Arctic Sea monitoring nanosatellite for north arctic routes and atmosphere monitoring built by AXELSPACE and funded by Weathernews Inc. of Tokyo, Japan. It aims to provide data to shipping lines who are interested in the Arctic Sea ice state, and of the CO2 content of the atmosphere.
