BEIDOU IGSO 4, a Chinese Navigation satellite, was launched from Xichang on 2011 July 26 at 21:44 UT by a Long March 3A rocket. BEIDOU IGSO 4, also known as BEIDOU 2-I4, is part of the Beidou satellite network, China's Navigation Satellite System (CNSS). The Beidou-2 constellation, which will eventually consists of 35 spacecraft, is designed to provide precise navigation, timing and messaging services. The system will initially be used to provide high-accuracy positioning services for users; a civilian service, which will give an accuracy of 10 meters in the user position, and the military and authorized users service, providing higher accuracies.
