UGATUSAT, a Russian education and technology demonstration microsatellite, was launched as a secondary payload on a Soyuz 2-1b rocket from Baikonur on 2009 September 17 at 15:55 UT. The roughly 30-kg satellite will make Earth observations with a resolution of 50 m.
