Atlantic Bird 2 is a European geosynchronous communications spacecraft belonging to the Eutelsat fleet that was launched by an Ariane 44P rocket from Kourou at 23:21 UT on 25 September 2001. The 3.1 tonne spacecraft is the twenty-second member of the current fleet. It provides high-speed television, video streaming, radio and internet services between North and South America, and Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, through its 26 Ku-band transponders.
