After the Interview
After the interview
- Send the interviewer a hand-written Thank You note. That’s what makes you stand out from all the other people they interviewed that day.
- Be sure to personalize it with a comment about something that happened during the interview; that way it will be easier for the interviewer to remember who you are.
- The note indicates that you’re a caring, people person.
- Include the link to your LinkedIn profile in your thank you note/e-mail; that way the employer has access to your professional information and photograph making you easier to recall.
- It also shows how organized you are and how much you’d like to work with them.
- Send a thank you card to the people with whom you came in contact at the company, not just the people who you feel could help you.
- Follow up your hand-written note with a brief email. Having your email address at hand makes it so much easier for the interviewer to reply to you.
