User Profiles

The app supports user profiles that allow the app to be used by multiple users. Each user thus has their own private settings, bookmarks, downloads, etc. that are not accessible to everyone else. But profiles can also be very useful for individual users, e.g. to separate professional and private web surfing.

On the iPad, several profiles and browser sessions can even be open in several windows at the same time (split screen, stage manager, etc.).

Any number of user profiles can be created. Depending on the configuration, these can have full access to all features or be restricted.

There are also two special profiles:

The guest profile allows the browser to be used spontaneously by another person without them having access to the data of the other profiles. When the guest logs out, the guest profile automatically deletes all data that has accumulated during use and resets the guest profile to its initial state. This means that guest mode also offers the greatest possible privacy for the guest.
Kiosk mode allows the app to be used as a kiosk - a public information terminal. In kiosk mode, the user interface is extremely reduced so that kiosk users can only call up the intended information. When not in use, the kiosk automatically returns to the intended start page.
