Reading list

The reading list is a collection of websites that you want to read later. The reading list has two categories: read pages and unread pages. As soon as you save a page in the reading list, it ends up in the “unread” category; if you then call up this page from the reading list, it is automatically moved to the “read” category. The number of entries in the “read” category can be limited in the settings under Bookmarks, history, reading list so that the read entries are automatically deleted again.

Instapaper, Pocket

The iCab Mobile reading list can also be linked to Instapaper or Pocket. Both services are providers of cloud-based reading lists that can serve as a central collection point for websites. If you want to link the reading list to one of these services, select it in the reading list settings and then log in with your access data for this service.

Add pages to the reading list

To add websites to the reading list, select the entry Add to reading list in the action menu or the FavIcon menu.

Alternatively, tap on the reading list icon and then tap on plus.

Reading list window

The reading list window opens by tapping the “Reading list” icon or alternatively by pressing and holding the “Read now” icon . You can switch between unread and read entries in the window.

Tapping an entry opens the corresponding page and marks it as read. A long press on an entry offers further alternative options for opening the page.

Read Now

The Read now feature changes the original layout of a web page to a better and easier to read layout. The Read now feature can be called up via the button aufgerufen werden.
