Quickstarter

The Quickstarter is a special type of bookmark. In contrast to regular bookmarks, Quickstarter bookmarks are displayed directly as large icons in a tab, where they can be accessed much more quickly and opened with a simple tap. To keep the Quickstarter simple and quick to use, there is no folder hierarchy for managing bookmarks, but bookmarks can be grouped if desired to maintain a certain order.

Tabs

Der Quickstarter kann auf Wunsch automatisch in allen neu geöffneten Tabs angezeigt werden, und steht so direkt zur Verfügung. To do this, set the Default content for tabs option to Quickstarter in the Tabs settings.

App Start

The app can also be configured so that the Quickstarter is automatically displayed every time the app is started. To do this, set the Open at Launch option to Quickstarter in the App Start settings.
Attention: If you want all tabs to be retained when launching the app, you should leave the Open at Launch option set to Session (all tabs).

Save websites in Quickstarter

If you want to save a website in the Quickstarter, select the menu item Save in Quickstarter in the action menu (icon ). If you have defined several groups in the Quickstarter, you will now be asked in which group the page should be saved.

Edit Quickstarter

The layout of the Quickstarter can be configured via the Bookmarks, history, reading list settings in the Quickstarter section, but also directly on the Quickstarter page itself.
Icon size (small, medium, large)
Icon type (page icon, page preview)
Color scheme (auto, light, dark)
grouping (compact, grouped)

If Grouping is activated, the bookmarks in a group are displayed separated by a dividing line; this may require a little more space. Without grouping, all bookmarks are displayed very compactly one after the other without separation.

On the Quickstart page, you can activate the edit mode by tapping the icon. In this mode, you can rearrange the bookmarks by simply moving them and delete them using the red X. The icon to the right of a group separator line can be used to rename, move and delete groups and to set up group filters.

The filters can be used to define where and when the bookmarks of the corresponding group should be displayed. This means that you can display individual groups only at certain times or only when you are at certain locations. The Quickstarter can therefore display different bookmarks depending on the time and/or location.

Bookmarks window

If you wish, you can also access the Quickstarter via the normal bookmark window. To do this, activate the Quickstarter switch in the Show in bookmark window section of the bookmarks settings. This will display a Quickstarter folder in the “root directory” of the bookmark window.

Groups can also be created in the bookmark window (via the in the toolbar), and groups can be reordered, renamed and group filters can be created (via )
