Bookmarks
Bookmarks are a collection of web addresses that you find interesting. You can add new pages to the bookmarks at any time and organize them in folders.
Open bookmark
To open bookmarks, tap the bookmark icon , then you can navigate in the folder structure and open bookmarks by simply tapping on them. If you tap on an entry for a longer period of time, you can open a bookmark or even entire folders with bookmarks in new tabs (in the foreground or background).
Favorites
You can also mark a folder from the bookmarks as a “favorites folder”. The content of this folder can then be made directly accessible via the browser toolbars. Particularly important bookmarks can be accessed more quickly in this way. The favorites are then either directly visible in the browser toolbars (as a scrollable list on the iPad) or as a menu via an icon 
(iPad and iPhone).
To set the favorites folder, please open the bookmarks folder, then navigate to the desired folder (do not open it, but it should be visible) and then tap on the Edit button (top right).
Now tap on the desired folder to edit its properties. Activate the Favorites folder option here.
Add page to bookmarks
To add a website to the bookmarks, select the entry Add to bookmarks from the action menu 
or the FavIcon menu.
You can then change the title and address if necessary. You can also assign a label (a color) to mark the bookmark in the bookmark window. This can be used to further categorize bookmarks.
The bookmark can then also be moved to another folder via the save location. The complete folder hierarchy can be accessed here.
The 
icon at the top of the bookmarks window can be used to manually create new bookmarks, folders, smart folders and dividers. Folders and dividers allow you to organize your bookmarks more clearly.
Smart Folders
Smart folders are folders that are automatically filled with bookmarks based on user-defined rules. All existing bookmarks are searched via the rules and those matching the rules are then sorted into the folder. For example, you can define a folder that only contains bookmarks that have been saved in the last 2 weeks, or bookmarks for a specific topic, etc.
Bookmarks are never saved manually in intelligent folders, but only based on rules. These rules are then used to compare the URL, page title, label and creation date with certain values and if a bookmark “matches” it is added to the folder.
Configuration
The content of the bookmark window can also be customized in the settings under Bookmarks, history, reading list. The history, reading list and quickstarter can be inserted in the root directory of the window so that you no longer need to reserve separate icons for them in the browser toolbars.
Use the Bookmark details option to specify whether the bookmarks only show the page title or also its address.
The Open bookmarks in new tabs option controls whether tapping a bookmark opens it in the current tab or in a new tab.
