Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air.
If dry, it can be charged electrostatically by swirling, pneumatic transport, pouring, etc.
Chemical Dangers:
The substance may spontaneously ignite on contact with air.
On combustion, forms toxic carbon monoxide if ventilation is insufficient.
The substance is a strong reducing agent and reacts violently with oxidants such as bromates, chlorates and nitrates.
