Physical State; Appearance:
ODOURLESS,
COLOURLESS COMPRESSED LIQUEFIED GAS.
Physical Dangers:
The gas is heavier than air
and may accumulate in low ceiling spaces causing deficiency of oxygen.
Chemical Dangers:
On contact with hot surfaces or flames this substance decomposes forming corrosive and very toxic fumes (hydrogen fluoride,
ICSC # 0283).
Occupational Exposure Limits:
TLV not established.

Routes of Exposure:
The substance can be absorbed into the body
by inhalation.
Inhalation Risk:
On loss of containment this gas can cause suffocation by lowering the oxygen content of the air in confined areas.
Effects of Short-Term Exposure:
Inhalation of the vapour may cause depression of the central nervous system.
The liquid may cause frostbite.
Exposure could cause cardiac arrythmia and asphyxiation.
