Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire. NO open flames. Powder, alcohol-resistant foam, water spray, carbon dioxide. Explosion Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air. Prevent deposition of dust; closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Exposure STRICT HYGIENE! IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!  •Inhalation Convulsions. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Shortness of breath. Weakness. Local exhaust or breathing protection. Fresh air, rest. Physical Dangers: Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air. Chemical Dangers: The substance decomposes on burning producing nitrogen oxides . Reacts with strong oxidants causing fire and explosion hazard. The solution in water is a strong base, it reacts violently with acid and is corrosive. Inhalation Risk: A harmful contamination of the air can be reached very quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C. Effects of Short-Term Exposure: The substance is irritating to the eyes and the skin . The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system , resulting in convulsions , respiratory depression . The substance may cause an increase in blood pressure. Exposure far above the OEL may result in death.
