<b>One Repetition Maximum (1RM)</b>

<div align=left>1RM is the maximum weight one can lift in a single repetition. You can actually try lifting it, or it can be estimated.</div>
<div align=left>When you log your workouts, GymGoal estimates your 1RM from the reps and weights that you enter.</div>
<div align=left>When you lift your maximum weight in a single repetition, your muscles, tendons and nervous system are stressed differently compared to lifting a much lighter weight many times. Because of this, 1RM calculators have a top limit for reps. Usually it is 10 reps.</div>
<div align=left>If the limit is 10 reps, but you log only sets with 11 or more reps, 1RM will not be calculated. Your 1RM graph will skip these days.</div>
<div align=left>You can lower the limit to increase the accuracy, or increase the limit to have less gaps in your 1RM graph.</div>
