OVERVIEW

When using DECIM8, we start with an original image then create an effected version of it. The effected version is layed over the original, with a certain amount of transparency, and with a specific blending mode:

When you're looking at an image in DECIM8, you are seeing the base image, with the effected version on top. By moving the transparency slider, you can change how much of the effected image is shown. By selecting different blending modes, you can change how the effected image is blended with the original.

The effected image is created by taking the original image, then applying whatever effects filters you currently have selected, in the order you have them arranged (see EFFECTS ARRANGE below). You may have one or more filters enabled that cumulatively create the effected image.


MAIN CONTROLS
A) MENU
Tap here to view user manual, settings, etc.
B) TRANSPARENCY SLIDER
Drag this slider left and right to change the overall transparency of the effected image. The display will automatically update.
C) RANDOM EFFECTS
Randomly select a new pair of effects with random parameters.
D) RANDOM PARAMS
Keep the active effects but randomize the parameters.
E) BLEND
Select from a variety of blend modes. The blend modes control how the effected image is layered above the original image. The blend modes work along with the transparency slider.
F) EFFECTS ARRANGE
Tap here to show the Effects Arrange screen where you can turn on and off the different effects, and change the order in which they are applied.
G) FLIP CAMERA
Toggle between front and back camera on the device.
H) FLASH MODE
Turn camera flash on and off, or automatic.
I) PHOTO LIBRARY
Select a photo from your photo library and go into EDIT MODE. Current effects will be applied automatically.
J) SHUTTER
Tap here to take a picture!

EFFECTS ARRANGE

If you tap the EFFECTS ARRANGE button, you will be shown this view. Here, you can activate individual effects by tapping them. When they are highlighted with the aqua color, they are selected, or "on".
